Writing the Code
On Sept. 15, the MIT Sloan Career Development Office and The Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion hosted the 3rd Annual Writing the Code: Networking & the Game of Golf event
Networking and the Game of Golf
Golf has a language of its own, and in some industries it’s a common networking tool. This event was an opportunity for students to explore the intersection between networking and the game of golf, enhance connections with classmates and alumni, and learn the mechanics of the game from PGA Professionals.
High Turnout
150+ MIT Sloan students, alumni, faculty, and staff attended the event, which was held at Brookline Golf Course.
The MIT Sloan Community
The MIT Sloan students who attended represented various student groups, classes, and programs.
Learning the Game of Golf
The day included two sessions of golf instructions, with four stations to learn the essentials of golf.
Networking with HarborVest Partners
Additionally, students were invited to attend a networking lunch with representatives from our corporate sponsor HarborVest Partners, which offered an opportunity to share knowledge around diverse teams.
Thank You to Our Partners
We also appreciate the support of PGA Reach of New England who helped us close on the participation of PGA golf professionals to give instruction and TaylorMade and the Trackman device that helped read out real time swing analytics.
Pathways to Opportunity
Writing the Code is a series committed to providing pathways to opportunity for MIT Sloan students. The scope of conversations and connections sit at the intersection of career and Diversity Equity and Inclusion, leveraging input from MIT Sloan alumni and the greater business community alike.
